David Medina was born and raised in Rocky Ford, Colorado. David started boxing when he was thirteen and went on to win 5 Golden Gloves Titles before joining the United States Army. David competed and won the All Army Boxing Championship which qualified him for the 2000 Olympic Trials in Tampa, Florida. He placed 5th in the Trials and decided to put boxing on hold for awhile.
In March 2005, David decided to step back into the ring and start his Professional Boxing Career. During his career he held the Global Boxing Union (GBU) Middle-Weight Championship, Super-Welterweight World Boxing Council (WBC), and the US National Boxing Championship (USNBC). David was also ranked #7 in the world by the WBC and retired with a record of 23-2 and 11 KO's.
David also trained at Top Rank Gym in Hollywood, California with one of the World's most renowned Trainers, Freddie Roach and had his boxing corner worked by the greatest cut man, Rafeal Garcia.
